july 18th-camille seaman: her photography sends chills down my back. no pun intended though

especially this one, WOAH. it kind of makes me sick but i cannot stop looking at it.

the compositions are gorgeous; but most importantly, i think, the photography makes you feel the cold and the isolation and absolute awe of what it would be like to be there

Eugene/ 'Gene' Matthews

he has a beautiful and powerful painting called "Mesa" at the Mayo Clinic in phoenix, (a different one from this one above; "mesa" has red and orange tones); i can't find much about this painter other than that i think he was born around the 30's. i might try to take a picture of the mesa painting in the next few days
